Benefits of Learning Your Native Language

Have you ever felt like you’re "not Indian enough"?

My nieces have told me that not being a fluent speaker of their native language has made it difficult for them to feel connected to their community at times. Their inability to speak to their Ma and Dada fluently is the hardest, as they spend more time fumbling for words than making memories.

Thankfully, they’ve decided to take group classes over Zoom, as well as practice daily conversations in their household to improve. I’m so proud of them for taking the initiative to work towards their goals of fluency, and especially so because they’ll be able to reap the benefits for the rest of their lives! Save the infographic below for some of those many benefits.

Get your own kids motivated to learn with the several learning games we offer! My nieces' favorite is the Hindi memory game that has helped them expand their vocabulary.
